Russian President Vladimir Putin is completely unpredictable. Such position was expressed by Ukrainian Head of State in an interview to Le Figaro, Inosmi reports.

Answering the question on Putin’s next aim in the region, Poroshenko said: "Vladimir Putin is completely unpredictable, this it’s hard to answer this question. He can start acting anywhere. If I was earlier told that he would want to annex Crimea and attack Donbas, I would never believe that. Just because the war is not in his best interest. The only person who knowns what Putin plans to do in following months is the Russian president himself."

At the same time, he admitted that US President Trump is far more predictable than Putin.

Answering another question, Ukrainian leader noted that "conflict in Eastern Ukraine is easy to settle".

"Russians do not need Donbas, I even think they are ready to leave it," Poroshenko said.

Poroshenko's comment is no revelation. Putin himself said some time ago that he wanted to be unpredictable, because when the Soviet Union was unpredictable it commanded respect. But he has gone further now by declaring that Russia "has no border". One can take the imbeguity of that statement many different ways.
