President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko thanked President of Lithuania Dalia Grybauskaite for supporting Ukraine in his speech during their meeting in Kharkiv on air of 112 Ukraine TV channel.

“I want to thank Mrs. President for the fact that Lithuania was with us in the worst hours, days and months of 2014-2015. Lithuania was the first country to provide us with lethal weapons, ammunition, decisively demonstrated solidarity with the Ukrainian people, with the Ukrainian authorities and with the Ukrainian Armed Forces,” Poroshenko said.

Today it is planned to discuss preparations for the EU-Ukraine Summit, further cooperation with NATO in the context of the recent Alliance Summit, the problems of bilateral relations, as well as strengthening cooperation to counteract Russian aggression.

Upon the results of the talks, the Presidents of Ukraine and Lithuania will meet with representatives of the media.

Earlier it was reported that Poroshenko met Dalia Grybauskaite in Kharkiv. The meeting of Petro Poroshenko and Dalia Grybauskaite with Ukrainian servicemen who were injured during participation in the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) in Donbas and underwent rehabilitation in Lithuania is also scheduled for today.
