"It was confirmed that the Ukrainian side is interested in further deepening cooperation with NATO by effectively implementing the relevant annual national programs and using the Comprehensive Assistance Package for Ukraine," the report said.
In addition, Poroshenko thanked Stoltenberg for supporting Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity and rendering assistance in countering Russian aggression.
“Very good meeting with President Poroshenko. We discussed the ongoing violence in eastern Ukraine, including recent incidents in Luhansk. NATO stands with Ukraine, and our partnership is strong,” Stoltenberg wrote in Twitter.
As it was reported earlier recent sociological surveys show solid support of common Ukrainians of the country’s membership in the NATO. Ivanna Klympush-Tsyntsadze, Ukraine’s Vice Prime Minister for EU integration said that during her visit to France.
According to the official, implementation of EU-Ukraine visa-free regime is the major reason why the level of support grows up.
