Ukraine’s President Petro Poroshenko has spent around $7.6 million on charity in 2017. The President’s press-office reports.

“The expenses for charity compiled around $7.6 million: social, cultural, medical programs, the assistance for the army. This expenses are not mentioned in the declaration due to the fact, that it wasn’t a physical person charity, it was the Poroshenko Charity Fund and several legal entities. Petro Poroshenko is its beneficial owner and it was stated in his declaration,” the message says.

Poroshenko’s total income in 2017 is $612 thousand. $12.7 thousand out of it is the salary, which he transfers to charity. $574 thousand - the interest on deposits. The amount of money which Poroshenko keeps in the bank account reduced by $430 thousand. It was noted that Petro Poroshenko did not receive the dividends from enterprises where he is a final beneficiary.

“Last year the President’s Administration received $26.1 million of taxes, charges, unified social taxes and customs payments from Roshen as a request reply. The total amount of such payments in 2014-2017 was $104 million,” the message says.

The list of securities which belong to Poroshenko along with his movable and immovable property remained the same.
