Poroshenko signs bill on admission of foreign military in Ukraine

President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko signed a draft law on the admission of foreign military in Ukraine for drills, as the Verkhovna Rada reports.

It was noted that on March 6, the law was returned to the Parliament with the President’s signature. Earlier, the Verkhovna Rada adopted the draft law.

It says that it referred to the multinational drills on the preparation of the Armed Forces units, Ukrainian American drills Rapid Trident – 2019, Sea Breeze 2019, the Ukrainian Romanian drills Riverain-2019, multinational drills Maple Ark-2019 and Ukrainian British drills Warrior Watcher-2019.

The law comes into force since the day of its official publication in the Uriadovy Kurier, the official outlet of the Ukrainian Cabinet.

Earlier, Poroshenko signed the law on amendments to the Ukrainian Constitution on EU, NATO integration yesterday, on February 20.
