President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko reported on the reforms in Ukraine during his speech at PACE in Strasbourg that was broadcasted by 112 Ukraine.
According to him, the changes take place despite the aggression of Russia.
‘Ukraine significantly progressed in the issue of the implementation of the program of the inner reformation and despite the challenges of the Russian aggression Ukraine continues to fulfill the liabilities as the country-member of the Council of Europe reproaching its legislation, institutes and practice to the standards of Europe’, the president said.
Poroshenko thanked the Council of Europe for the support of the process of reforming of Ukraine. ‘Looking back at the achievements of Ukraine I especially glad that we improved our finance and banking systems, also our reform on decentralization was mentioned and it produces the first result. The budget of the city councils increased in ten times at the war-time and the common budget increased up to 50% step by step’, Poroshenko added.
The Ukrainian Parliament voted for the pension and court reforms last week. The first one came into force today. Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Andry Paruby claimed that the MPs will consider the reform of the medicine next week.
