Poroshenko questioned in State Bureau of Investigation in case on alleged tax evasion

Fifth President of Ukraine, leader of European Solidarity party Petro Poroshenko left the building of State Bureau of Investigation, where he arrived on August 12 as a witness in the case on alleged tax evasion. At around 12 pm, ex-President left the building and got into the car. 112 Ukraine broadcasted the event.

The former president did not comment on the questioning.

At the same time, Roman Truba, the Chairman of State Bureau of Investigation, reported details in his Telegram blog. According to him, the questioning lasted for two hours.

“Petro Poroshenko was talking within the criminal proceeding on alleged tax evasion during sales and purchase of Pryamy TV channel,”  Truba wrote.

He stated that the next questioning of ex-President would be held with the use of polygraph testing.

As it was reported, 11 criminal cases concerning alleged crimes committed by Petro Poroshenko were included in the Unified Registry of Pre-Trial Investigations.
