The Presidents of Ukraine and Russia Petro Poroshenko and Vladimir Putin had four telephone conversations since the beginning of the year. This was reported by Kommersant.

The agency refers to several sources in Kyiv and Moscow and states that the leaders of the countries last talked on Ukraine’s initiative on February 21. This conversation allegedly lasted around 20 minutes.

Before that Poroshenko and Putin talked on the phone on February 11, on the next day after the visit to Russia of the President of Slovenia Borut Pahor.

Earlier it was reported that Trump held telephone talks with Putin, among all sides discussed Ukrainian issue. Sides horoughly discussed current international issues, including fight against terrorism, situation in the Middle East, Arab-Israeli conflict, sphere of strategic stability and non-proliferation, situation around Iranian nuclear program and Korean Peninsula. Also they touched main aspects of the crisis in Ukraine.
