Over $20 million from the government budget is to be allocated on enhancing the skills of teachers, as president of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko said during his visit to Pokrivsk, Donetsk Oblast, broadcasted by 112.UA Channel.
“In 2018, 520 million UAH from the government budget will be allocated for on enhancing the skills of teachers that are to teach first-graders of the new Ukrainian school all over Ukraine. I assure, that in future, despite the Russian military aggression, Ukraine will invest into knowledge, upbringing, and teaching young generations,” the president said.
A new educational reform was proposed in Ukraine in December 2016. The reform is to introduce a 12-year school program, and to involve the best international practices, in order to enable individuals to be successful in the modern-world circumstance.
