Ukraine’s President Petro Poroshenko stated on Wednesday that education was the main priority of the country. He said this in his speech on occasion of opening a school in Lviv region on air of 112 Ukraine TV channel.
"Why is the place of the Ukrainian president here today? Some people think that the opening of school is an absolutely ordinary event. No, this is a demonstration of Ukraine's priorities. What is the priority for Ukraine? It’s education. And what is education? This is the key to success, success of Ukraine and the success of Ukrainians. These are very good and important traditions," he said.
As it was reported earlier Poroshenko announced that over $20 million will be allocated on enhancing the skills of teachers.
“And in future, despite the Russian military aggression, Ukraine will invest into knowledge, upbringing, and teaching young generations,” the president said.
