The leader of the list of the European Solidarity at the snap elections to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine will be the fifth president of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko. It became known at the party’s session on June 9.
The next members of the list are first Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Iryna Gerashchenko, Mykhailo Zabrodskyi, the commander of the Ukrainian Airmobile Forces, a lieutenant general, and singer and volunteer Sofiya Fedyna.
Candidate Mustafa Dzhemilev, the Chairman of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar People and the MP of Ukraine, was also represented at the session of the party.
The top ten also included Mustafa Dzhemilev, Commander of the Hospitallers medical battalion Yana Zinkevych, Head of the Lviv Regional State Administration Oleg Syniutka, Deputy Chairman of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar People Ahtem Çiygoz, and the Vice-Prime-Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration of Ukraine Ivanna Klympush-Tsintsadze.
All the candidates should be approved at the session of the party.
Earlier, Petro Poroshenko's Bloc party has officially changed its name. From now on, it will be known as European Solidarity. According to the political force's press service, the decision was made and approved during the convention on May 24.
The parliamentary election campaign kicked off in Ukraine on May 24, the day after the release of the respective presidential decree. Head of the state Volodymyr Zelensky signed the document, which rules that the Ukrainian Parliament of the eighth convocation is disbanded. So, these elections will be the early ones, and the line-up of the Parliament will change already this summer.
