President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko agreed with German Chancellor Angela Merkel to continue putting pressure on Russia to release all Ukrainian POWs during the negotiations at World Economic Forum in Davos as Sviatoslav Tseholko, the spokesperson of the Ukrainian leader reported on Facebook.
“The parties agreed to continue putting pressure on Russia to release all Ukrainian POWs, including sailors,” Tseholko wrote.
Besides, Poroshenko and Merkel exchanged the opinions on the prevention of the Russian interference in the presidential elections in Ukraine.
Earlier Foreign Minister of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin stated that he intends to discuss Russian aggression in Kerch Strait, Donbas issue and release of the Ukrainian prisoners during the World Economic Forum in Davos.
As we reported the 48th World Economic Forum opened in Davos with the topic ‘Creating a Shared Future in a Fractured World’ took place in 2018. Davos was to accept 2,500 guests from more than 100 countries of the world: representatives from business, political leaders, heads of the international organization, journalists and representatives of the civil society.
