Ukraine’s President Petro Poroshenko had a meeting with Wolfgang Schäuble, the President of the Bundestag, in Berlin, as the President’s press office reported.
“The parties discussed the progress of reforms in the financial, economic, bank, and energy sector in Ukraine. The importance of the cooperation between Ukraine and the IMF was stressed as a crucial factor of the stability and international trust,” the message says.
The parties have also agreed to intensify the interparliamentary cooperation between Ukraine and Germany.
As we reported earlier, Petro Poroshenko is in Germany since April 10 with a working visit. Earlier, Poroshenko met with Angela Merkel, the Chancellor of Germany, Frank-Walter Steinmeier, Germany’s President and Heiko Maas, Germany’s Foreign Minister.
They have discussed the points of the UN peacekeeping mission introduction in Donbas, the construction of the Nord Stream-2 and anti-Russia sanctions.
