Financing of state defense order was increased by 37% in 2018 and amounts to over $732 million, according to the website of Ukraine’s president.
“In 2018, the funding of the state defense order has exceeded 21 billion hryvnias,” he stressed, adding that compared to 2017, the funding had been increased by 37%,” Petro Poroshenko said.
The state defense order also triples the expenses for the most advanced means of electronic warfare, increases the number of anti-tank weapons by four, and the number of anti-sniper complexes by 10, while the number of UAVs will be increased by 4.5 times.
Petro Poroshenko also reminded about successful testing of Vilkha missile complex. According to him, the task was set to complete the process of testing in 2018 and start producing Vilkha complexes to sharply increase the accuracy and the distance of the strikes.
