President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko condemns the visit of presidential candidate Yuriy Boyko and the chairman of the political council of Opposition platform – For Life Party Viktor Medvedchuk to Russia, as well as talks with Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev and Gazprom head Alexei Miller. He stated this during a speech at the Council of Regional Development in Chernivtsi region, reports 112 Ukraine.

"You saw yesterday news and videos from the Kremlin ... They are discussing the economic matters ... They are discussing how to hang Ukraine again on the Russian gas needle, they are already discussing alliances that will be created after the presidential election, after the parliamentary elections, and now they all say that everyone will unite. Against whom will they unite? Against Ukraine, against each of us," he said.

We recall that economic negotiations were held in Moscow on March 22 by the delegation of the party Opposition Platform - For Life, headed by Viktor Medvedchuk and Yury Boyko, with Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev and Gazprom head Alexei Miller.

The parties discussed a number of economic issues. According to Boyko, the most important issue is direct gas supplies to Ukraine without incomprehensible intermediaries.

On the same day, the Security Service of Ukraine declared that in the shortest possible time it would, within its competence, provide a legal assessment of the relevant visit of Ukrainian politicians to Russia.

Russia’s Gazprom is ready to hold direct negotiations on the concluding of a new contract for the Russian gas supply to the Ukrainian market. Alexey Miller, the Head of company made such statement during the meeting with the Delegation of Political Party Opposition platform – For life headed by Viktor Medvedchuk, the chairman of political council and Yuriy Boyko, the founder of the party and presidential candidate and Prime Minister of Russia Dmitry Medvedev.

“Of course, it is early to talk about particular price and contract. But, knowing about the high level of price for the end-consumers, present at the Ukrainian market today, it is possible to say that the price at the new contract will be lower for quarter for the end-consumer in Ukraine in comparison with the current level,” Miller said.

Viktor Medvedchuk, the Head of the Political Council of the “Opposition platform – For life” told which Gazprom issues they discussed during the meeting between the party delegation together with the supported by the party presidential candidate Yuriy Boyko with the Prime Minister of Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev and Gazprom head Alexey Miller.

“Speaking about the direct gas supplies from Russia, I would like to outline what Yuriy Bouko and also Gazprom head Alexey Miller stated that when we know the price of gas supply to Russia, there is an opportunity today, it can be a subject of new negotiations, of reducing gas supplies to Ukraine up 25%.
