Petro Poroshenko, the President of Ukraine has set a target to put the Vilkha missile complex into the batch production in 2018 on the results of its final testing. The president reported this on Facebook.
‘Ukrainian army will get the high-accuracy weapons. I participated in the final testing of our Vilkha missile complex. I have set a target to put it into the batch production in 2018’, he wrote.
He also explained why it is so important for Ukraine:
‘It is important not only because the Ukrainian army will get the high-accuracy weapons but it will significantly increase the efficiency of the actions of the Armed Forces detachments. It is important because Vilkha missile complex is compiled from the Ukrainian component parts’.
As we reported on April 10, the state testing of new Vilkha missile system has begun in Odesa region, Southern Ukraine.
On December 22, 2017, the Armed Forces of Ukraine held the successful trial of the Vilkha missile system.
