Poroshenko assigns 1051 Ukrainian women a Heroine Mother title

Mothers of many children who brought up five or more children up to eight years, created convenient conditions for their intellectual, physical and spiritual development are assigned a title by the decree

Ukraine’s President Petro Poroshenko signed a decree on appointing a title “Heroine Mother”. The title was assigned to 1,051 Ukrainian, as the President’s press office reports.

“Mothers of many children who brought up five or more children up to eight years, created convenient conditions for their intellectual, physical and spiritual development are assigned a title by the decree,” the message says.

40 residents of Vinnytsia, 128 – from Volyn, 30 – from Dnipro, 27 – from Donetsk along with 85 Zhytomyr residents, 116 Zakarpattia, 7 Zaporizhia, 31 Ivano-Frankivsk and 15 Kiev residents are among the awarded.

11 women from Kirovograd, 2 from Luhansk, 50 from Lviv, 16 – Mykolaiv, 52 – Odesa, 25 – Poltava, 244 – Rivne, 23 – Sumy along with 38 Ternopil residents, 28 Kharkiv, 6 Kherson, 19 Khmelnytsky, 7 Cherkassy, 27 Chernivtsi, 13 Chernihiv and 11 Kyiv residents were awarded the title.

It should be noted that today Ukraine and many other states celebrate Mother’s Day.
