Poroshenko approves increase of export duty on scrap metal

In May 2018 Ukraine’s Parliament has set an export duty at the level of 42 euros per one ton for scrap metal

The President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko signed a law No. 9474 “On increase of export duties on scrap metal at the level of 58 euros for a ton”. The relevant information is contained in the card of the bill.

The law provides an increase of export duty from 42 to 58 euros for ton till September 2021.

As it was reported, in May 2018 Ukraine’s Parliament has set an export duty at the level of 42 euros per one ton for scrap metal. The norm was supposed to be in force till September 2019.

Yet, the Verkhovna Rada supported the law on the increase of export duty in February 2019 by 234 votes of the Ukrainian MPs.
