Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko met with Anna Kinberg Batra, the leader of the Swedish Moderate Party. This was reported by the presidential press service.

Head of State thanked for a consistent support for Ukraine by representatives of the Swedish Moderate Party, particularly within the parliamentary assemblies of the OSCE and the Council of Europe in the issue of countering Russian aggression and introduction of the regime of sanctions against Russia until full restoration of Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, the message reads.

Poroshenko drew attention of Ms. Batra to the worsening security situation in Donbas, non-fulfillment of the Minsk agreements by Russia and oppression of Crimean Tatars and Ukrainians in Crimea.

The parties agreed with the necessity of preserving unity inside the EU in the issue of countering Russian aggression and continuation of sanctions against Russia.

The leader of the Moderate Party congratulated Ukraine on positive transformations on the track of reforms and assured of further comprehensive support for Ukraine by her political force.

Beyond that, parties coordinated efforts to oppose construction of the Nord Stream 2 by Russia.
