After today’s parliamentary session was closed, President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko held a meeting of the fraction Petro Poroshenko Blok. He said it was essential that the Donbas reintegration bill is passed, and agreed that in its second hearing it should include Crimea as well, as fraction’s MPs told Interfax-Ukraine.
“The most important thing that had been said – we must pass this bill,” Vadym Denysenko, the fraction member, said.
According to MP Refat Chubarov, the President agreed that the draft bill should include the issue of Crimea as well.
“I asked him (Petro Poroshenko) as to (draft bill) #7163, and said that if we take it as a basis, it should include Crimea in the second hearing. The President agreed with that”.
As it was reported earlier, the Donbas reintegration draft law was discussed in the Ukrainian Parliament today. However, MPs from Samopomich and some others blocked the podium of the Verkhovna Rada, thus blocking the discussion. It was happening against the backdrop of protests near the Ukrainian Parliament.
