Pompeo announces joint action with NATO against Russian aggression in Ukraine

U.S. State Secretary Mike Pompeo announced joint additional measures against Russia for its aggression against Ukraine with NATO, as Reuters reported.

“Next week I am hopeful ... I will be able to announce another series of actions that we will jointly take together,” he stated.

 He also admitted that Washington should have done more to solve issues in Ukraine because of Moscow’s influence.

Earlier, the U.S. and Canada imposed anti-Russian sanctions for attack at the Ukrainian vessels in Kerch Strait. Besides, the EU sanctioned the Russian citizens involved in capturing the Ukrainian sailors near Kerch Strait in November 2018.

As we reported, the U.S. State Secretary Mike Pompeo called assistance the U.S. provides to Ukraine and Georgia “visible” amidst their counterwork of Russian aggression and interference into elections.

Pompeo reminded that the U.S. did not recognize Crimea’s annexation and wait till the situation on the peninsula will be settled.
