Ukrainian political prisoner Volodymyr Balukh convicted in annexed Crimea, kept in Russia will be in a punishment cell at least till July 2, as Olha Dinze, his lawyer, who visited Balukh on June 21, Krym.Realii.
"He was taken from the medical facility to the colony. Then, he spent four days in the fifth squad. Later, the workers of the prispn created a provocation after which they recorded another violation and put him in the punishment cell," Dinze noted.
According to her, the reason was violation of internal schedule fo the colony.
"Before dinner he felt bad and asked to take him to the doctor. "Lie down for now". Balukh did so, though it was banned. Someone took a photo, took him to medical unit and put him in the punishment cell for violating the internal schedule," the lawyer noted.
Earlier, the representative of Ukraine’s Consulate to Russia was not let to visit the Ukrainian political prisoner Volodymyr Balukh.
Russian Federal Penitentiary Service has informed that Balukh is a Russian citizen, which was the reason why the diplomat was not allowed to see him.
Balukh's lawyer Olga Dinze visited him in a penal colony No.4 and said that he still was in a punishment cell, over that time he was sent there three times on spurious grounds.
