“Today, on January 27, the representatives of the Consulate of Hungary in Berehove appealed to the police with the statement about the receiving of the letter with threats. The statement says that unknown sent the messages with threats to their workers and Ukrainians of the Hungarian origin to the e-mail,” the message said.
The police investigators hold the investigation due to the violation of the equality of the citizens depending on their nationality together with threats. The sanction of the article provides the punishment in the form of up to five years of the restriction of the freedom.
As we reported, on the eve of the visit of Hungary’s Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó to Ukraine, the post office of the country's embassy in Ukraine received e-mails that contained various threats.
In an e-mail, which was published by the Foreign Minister, unknown individuals demanded to cancel Szijjártó’s visit, otherwise, they would start "acting extremely harshly." Unidentified persons claim that "they are tired of watching Hungary take away their lands"
