On May 9, Ukraine police opened 17 criminal proceedings into disseminating prohibited communist and Nazi symbols. The press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs reports the statement of the Head of the National Police Ihor Klymenko.
"On May 9, we drew up 22 administrative protocols and opened 17 criminal proceedings into disseminating prohibited symbols of the communist and Nazi regimes. The national police coped with the tasks," Klymenko said.
As it was reported earlier, Kyiv police have opened a criminal proceeding into the use of Nazi symbols during a march in honor of the SS-Volunteer Division "Galicia". The participants face up to five years in prison.
