The National Police of Donetsk region opened a criminal case under Article 115 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (murder) after a police officer shot a civilian with a service weapon, as they inform on their website.

The police officer was detained, and the decision is being made as to hading the case over to the prosecution.

“It has been established that the police officer came to Donetsk region as reinforcement from another region. In a conflict that occurred on private basis, he used a service weapon against the civilian. During the incident, he wasn’t on duty and was dressed in civilian clothes,” the police said.asi

The man who died was a resident of Yar, Donetsk region.

As we reported earlier, at around 1 am today, a police officer shot a person dead.
