Police detain woman during bank robbery in Kyiv

In Kyiv, an armed woman robbed a bank on Avtozavodska Street. Police detained her during a special operation. It was reported by Kyiv police press service.

"The woman went into the room and threw a burning bottle of liquid. Then she demanded money threatening with a gun. Bank employees complied with her request," the statement says.

However, she was detained by police at the entrance to the bank.

No one was injured in the incident. Law enforcement officers continue to question witnesses and the detainee. Information about the incident was entered into the Unified Register of pre-trial investigations under Part 4 of Art. 187 (Robbery) of the Criminal code of Ukraine. It provides up to 15 years of imprisonment with confiscation of property.

As it was reported earlier, in Kyiv, police detained a man who provided false information that the Kyiv City Council building was mined.
