Police have detained two administrators of suicide groups in social networks. This was reported by Serhiy Knyazev, the Chief of Ukrainian National Police, according to Hromadske.

"They are giving testimony, explaining this as an experiment with people’s consciousness," the Head of Police noted.

He informed that certain activities are under way to detain and interrogate the administrators of "blue whale" groups.

"Searches were conducted and evidence collected. Now we are having consultations with the Prosecutor General’s Office (procedural leader in this case) regarding possible detention," Knyazev informed.

As it is known, the topic became nearly daily occurrence: a child or teen being encouraged to commit suicide through participation in a ghoulish online "game" driven by Russian-language hashtags including "blue whale," "sea of whales," "I'm in the game," "Wake me at 4:20," "F58," and many others, as Radio Liberty provided elaborate report on that earlier. These games are popular among young population and spread very fast.
