The police detained two partakers of the shootout in Dnipro in which two veterans of the Donbas Conflict died. The correspondent reported this at the airing of 112 Ukraine.
‘The police in interested in the location and identification of three people who were at the place of crime. The police establish their role in the incident. There are the earlier judged persons. The charge is already laid to two of them. They are detained for 72 hours and the measure of the restraint should be applied in 72 hours. The police are establishing the role of another two detained in the incident’, he noted.
The correspondent noted that the police do not consider another reason of the conflict except the economic wrangles.
Ukrainian News reported citing the Chief of the Criminal Police of Dnipropetrovsk region Oleg Groz that the confiscated Kalashnikov’s Automate Rifle and the pistols are examined for the possibility of the usage in other crimes.
According to Groz, the partakers of the shootout are three citizens of Dnipro, a foreigner and a citizen of Donetsk region. A lot of witnesses are questioned within the investigation.
Two participants of the Donbas Conflict were killed in the result of the shootout and the famous advocate, the defender of the injured in the clashes on May 9 Edmond Saakyan was wounded.
According to the doctors, after the surgery, Saakyan's condition has stabilized, his life is not under the threat. ATO veteran Oleksiy Vahner also received numerous injuries in the shooting. He served in the 20th Separate Battalion of the 93 Motorized Infantry Brigade together with Saakyan and was injured during the attack of "titushky" in Dnipro city on May 9.
The man who died in the shooting from a bullet wound in the head, according to unconfirmed reports, is a former soldier of the 11th Battalion of the 59th Brigade with the call sign ‘Pike’ Maksym Ivashchuk.
According to local police, the white Toyota with the group of the men drew up to the veterans of the Donbas Conflict and the heated discussion took place and then the men opened the fire on Donbas Conflict veterans from the automatic arms.
The mass media reported that some of the veterans opened the fire in response and wounded some of the attackers. Later it was reported that four attackers were hospitalized.
