The police of Kharkiv have confirmed the murder of the wife of the man who opened the fire in the Kharkiv City Council on August 20. Oleg Bekh, the Head of the National Police in Kharkiv region claimed this as 112 Ukraine reported.
"A woman is found, a relative with the gunshot wounds. At the site, the investigative group, the crime lab along with the forensic doctor saw a woman in the house; she had a few gunshot wounds. The time of death is August 19. She had the wounds of the left eye, jaw, neck and forearm. She was found dead near her bed. During the check of the site, the large number of the firearms, bullets and machine for their production were found and confiscated," Bekh claimed.
The name of the dead woman is Natalia Poiarkova of the 1976 year of birth. She married Oleksandr Poiarkov, the Kharkov shooter wanted by the police in 2014.
The police noted that the suspect in the murder abused alcohol and possibly, he killed the wife when he was drunk.
"Now we understand that under the influence of the alcohol, stress, he killed his wife. At the site, the casings were found similar to those near the city council. He was identified by the relatives," he said.
Earlier the police found the wife of the man, who started shooting overnight on August 20 in Kharkiv City Council, dead.
As it was reported, a shooting incident occurred at city council building in Kharkiv. As a result, Dmytro Kyrienko, Kharkiv police officer died in the line of duty. It is reported that he was shot in his side. Besides, a security guard was wounded. He had his surgery before 7 a.m. in the morning. As of now, the doctors are prognosticating anything, as the condition of the sufferer is serious.
Later police reported that an attacker also shot at Škoda car with a child.
The patrol officers made it neutralize the attacker. His identity is being established now. Supposedly, he is a 59-year-old local resident. The police officers claim that the attacker was under the influence of alcohol.
Reportedly, police consider three version of the incident - assault because of the government’s actions, mental deviation of the shooter and hooliganism.
