The suspects in the attempt at Odesa activist Oleg Mykhailyk visited Russia many times, particularly, the recent time. Anton Herashchenko, the member of the Interior Ministry panel and MP claimed this as Apostroph reported.
"These people visited Russia many times, particularly, the recent time. And the prosecution will check what they did in Russia, who and for what coached them and so on," Herashchenko noted.
According to MP, the anti-Ukrainian provocations are considered as one of the main versions of the crime.
"One of the versions is that the anti-Ukrainian forces wanted the activist in Odesa to die and to be injured. Then, the authorities will be accused, particularly, the prosecutor's offices, police, the Security Service of Ukraine of the inactivity. It is one of the main versions. It is checked," he reported
At the same time, there was no resentment between Mykhailyk and people detained in Georgia.
"The connection with the suspects with the criminal world, Georgian "thieves in law" and other representatives of the Georgians who temporarily carried their duties of the leaders of the law enforcement bodies of Odesa region is checked," Herashchenko added.
He is in a hospital right now and provided with a guard. It was reported that Mykhailyk’s condition had stabilized, he has a bullet in his chest. At the same time, Chief Doctor Yevhen Hryhoriev said that there is no need to take the bullet out right now.
‘The extraction of a foreign body is carried out after the condition of patient stabilizes, and usually is done routinely after two or three months,’ the Chief Doctor claimed.
It was also reported that a special investigation group was created to investigate the attack on Oleh Mykhailyk. The group consists of experienced investigators, detective, and employees of SBU.
Later, about a hundred people went to protest in Odesa because of the shooting of public activist Oleg Mykhailyk. The protesters demand the resignation of the chiefs of the police and the prosecutor's office of the region, as well as require law enforcement officers to effectively investigate attacks against activists and name customers and performers.
