“The particular term of vaccine supply to Ukraine will mostly depend on dynamics of AstraZeneca supply (and other vaccines) to Poland. To hold the supplies, it is necessary to agree on legal and technical aspects proceeded by the sides. Considering these facts, the possible term of vaccine supply to the Ukrainian side is May or June,” the Council of Ministers of Poland said.
The government noted that despite the decrease of AstraZeneca supply to Poland, Warsaw will do everything possible to send this drug to Ukraine ‘within the next two months'.
Earlier, Chief Sanitary Doctor of Ukraine Viktor Lyashko said that by the end of May, Ukraine is supposed to get 1.4 million doses of the anti-coronavirus vaccine developed by AstraZeneca Company.
Besides, Health Minister of Ukraine Maksym Stepanov reported that Ukraine will receive 473.000 doses of Pfizer vaccine on the COVAX program on May 17-18. Besides, Ukraine has already received confirmation for the supply of another 500,000 doses of the vaccine from Sinovac Biotech. This batch will arrive in the country by April 30, and the remaining 1 million doses - in May. In addition, the COVAX program confirmed the delivery of 1.4 million doses in May.
