Poland supports the exchange of political prisoners between Ukraine and Russia, believing it is an important thing for the peace to return to Ukraine. Polish President Andrzej Duda said so during the joint press conference with Ukraine’s leader Volodymyr Zelensky in Warsaw, as RBK-Ukraine informs.
According to Duda, the prisoners exchange should help end the conflict between Ukraine and the Russian Federation and restore peace.
"Mr. President (Zelensky - Ed.) said that they had got back to work in the Normandy Format; the council meeting will take place soon and the meeting between the state leaders will be held in the middle of the month, as he hopes. He said that he had had the conversation with President Putin in order to let he prisoners come back home. It would be an important moment for the peace to return to Ukraine and for the end of the Russian-Ukrainian conflict," Duda stated.
