Poland changes entrance rules for Ukrainians

From December 28, the regime of entry changes for the citizens of Ukraine to the Republic of Poland as the Embassy of Ukraine to Poland reported.

Today, the next categories of the citizens of Ukraine are allowed to enter the territory of Poland:

  • spouse or children of a citizen of Poland of they stay under permanent guardianship of a citizen of Poland;
  • people who possess a Polish card;
  • people who have a right of permanent or temporary residence in the territory of Poland;
  • people who have a right to hold work in the territory of Poland on the same basis as the citizens of Poland; have a work permit or confirmation of the intention to hold seasonal work, confirmation of the order for work for a foreigner in the territory of Poland who holds work in the territory of Poland or provides the documents that state that the holding of works start right after the crossing of the border;
  • receive education in Poland (pupils, students, audience, applicants of postgraduate education, PhD students) or people who accompany students;
  • scientists who hold research in the territory of Poland;
  • members of the family (spouse, children) of EU citizen;
  • people with permanent residence permit or long term European residence permit, the European Free Trade Association (EFTA) – the sides of the agreement on the European economic area or Switzerland, or members of their families (spouse, children) entering Poland for transit;
  • drivers of vehicles of the international passenger, cargo or combined transport and enter the territory of Poland within the official duties;
  • sailors, fishermen, employees of marine extracting or drill platforms who enter Poland for transit to the place of duty performance;
  • employees of the diplomatic or consular establishments, representatives of the international organizations or members of their families; other people who cross the border with the diplomatic passport;
  • passengers of aircraft who hold an international flight from the airport situated in the territory of the state that is not on the ban list of air traffic and passengers that belong to at least one of the mentioned categories of the citizens of Ukraine or people who have a residence permit in Georgia, Japan, Canada, New Zealand, Thailand, South Korea, Tunisia, Australia;
  • people who enter Poland on the basis of the national visa for repatriation or members of the family of repatriate;
  • people who enter Poland for participation in sports events (athletes, trainers, doctors, physiotherapists, judges, accredited journalists) with approving documents from an organizer of the competitions;
  • people who enter Poland on the basis of visa issued for work on the humanitarian grounds of interest of Poland or its international commitments;
  • people who enter Poland on the basis of visa issued for Poland. Business Harbour participation;
  • foreign entrepreneurs and representatives of foreign business enterprises who enter Poland for commercial purposes and people who received an agreement for entrance from the Foreign Minister of Poland.

It is noted that some categories of people are released from the obligatory quarantine after the entrance to Poland:

  • people with a certificate on the vaccination against Covid-19;
  • drivers and members of crews of air, railway, shipping and vehicle means if they professional activity is tied with the sphere of the international passenger, cargo or combined transportation and who enter the territory of Poland within official duties;
  • controllers of naval administration who enter the territory of Poland within official duties;
  • passengers of vessels not visiting the ports of the third countries between the ports of the EU countries, the European Free Trade Association (EFTA) – the sides of the agreement on the European economic area;
  • people who received education in Poland (pupils + attendant, students, audience, applicants of postgraduate education, PhD students); scientists who hold research in the territory of Poland;
  • persons who sit examinations for eighth grade in January 2021 that take place in the schools for adults, where the education ends in autumn;
  • employees of the diplomatic or consular establishments, representatives of the international organizations or members of their families; other people who cross the border with the diplomatic passport;
  • persons who hold works in the agricultural enterprises situated in the border area of both countries;
  • people with permanent residence permit or long term European residence permit, the European Free Trade Association (EFTA) – the sides of the agreement on the European economic area or Switzerland, or members of their families (spouse, children) entering Poland for transit;
  • athletes, trainers, doctors, physiotherapists, judges, accredited journalists entering Poland for participation in the sports events with approving documents from an organizer of the competitions;
  • medical employees entering Poland for employment in the sphere of healthcare;
  • people who cross the state border of Poland, the inner border of the EU, within the official duty.

As we reported, the Health Ministry of Ukraine renewed the list of countries of ‘red’ and ‘green’ zones, considering the number of active cases of coronavirus disease per 100,000 of the population.
