Poisoning of schoolchildren in Mykolaiv: Two children are in intensive care

Two pupils are in intensive care unit in Mykolaiv as a result of spraying of an unknown aerosol with a stench. This was reported by the press service of the Mykolayiv Regional Health Department.

"Currently, 36 children with a previous diagnosis of “poisoning by an unknown substance” are in the hospital. Parents of one of the children refused hospitalization; two children are in the intensive care of the city hospital. Their condition is assessed by doctors as moderate," the statement reads.

As it was reported earlier, 400 pupils of Mykolaiv city were evacuated from school due to the dispersion of unknown aerosol with the strong stench. 32 children were sent to hospitals for examination.

After the call to 101, the chemists with a mobile chemical-radiological laboratory came to the school, as well as the unit of the Emergency Service of Ukraine. It is noted that nothing threatens the lives of children. Specialists have not detected dangerous substances. The school was examined.
