Minimum pension for Ukrainians

In 2022, the minimum pension for Ukrainians over 70 years old will be raised to 109 USD. But this requires that the job tenure is at least 30-35 years. Prime Minister Denys Shmygal stated this at a government meeting.  

"The minimum pension payment for people aged 70 and with over 30-35 years of job tenure will be $109," Shmygal said.

According to Prime Minister Denys Shmygal, in 2022 pensions are expected to increase in several stages. In particular, indexation will be carried out in March, including working pensioners. The program of additional payments will be extended for Ukrainians over 70 years of age, pensions for Chornobyl victims with disabilities will be paid, and pensions for 65-year-olds will continue to increase due to the increase in the minimum wage.

We will remind that since January 1, in Ukraine the pensions to liquidators of accident on Chornobyl nuclear power plant increased. Thus, pensions for liquidators of 1st group, who received an average of $451, will be increased to $591. Pensioners of the liquidators of the second disability group - from $403 to $477. For the 3rd group - from $288 to $328.
