The Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal ordered to remove the officials involved in organizing the An-26 flight. Shmygal announced this on the Telegram channel following an extraordinary meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers on the plane crash near Chuhuiv, which killed 26 people.
"To ensure an objective investigation, I instructed Defense Minister Andriy Taran to remove from duty the officials who were involved in organizing the flight," the statement says.
As it was reported earlier, on September 25, at about 20:50 near the military airport of Chuhuiv, Kharkov region, a military aircraft An-26 fell and caught fire.
As a result of the plane crash, 22 people died, 2 were hospitalized. One of the cadets is in a state of moderate severity at the Chuhuiv hospital. Another cadet is in critical condition; doctors are fighting for his life in one of the Kharkiv hospitals.
A few minutes before the crash, the pilot reported an engine malfunction by radio, as the head of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration Oleksiy Kucher said earlier.
