Balloon festival "Montgolfier: The Sky of Kyiv", which was due to take place in Kyiv during Eurovision song contest, was postponed for an indefinite period. Organizers explained it with the prohibition of flights over the capital, which will be in operation during the song contest.
"Organizing committee of the air balloons festival has put much effort and desire to make this event happen and give positive emotions to the residents and guests of the capital. Unfortunately, we received the information all of a sudden that flights over Kyiv will be banned during Eurovision. We have to postpone the festival as we adhere to all orders of the authorized bodies," the message on the Facebook page of the festival says.
"Montgolfier" organizers promise to announce further plans through social networks.
As it was reported, the festival was to be held from 6 to 14 May in Kyiv during Eurovision. 42 balloons were to fly in the sky over the city, each of them symbolizing one of the country-participant at Eurovision 2017.
