Pilot dies after plane crash in Ternopil region

A light-engine plane crashed in Ternopil region, near the village of Zolota Sloboda. As a result of the accident, the pilot died, the press service of the State Emergency Service reported. 

"In Ternopil region, a light-engine plane fell, the pilot died," the message says.

It is indicated that the accident occurred near the village of Zolota Sloboda.

According to the police, at the scene of the accident, law enforcement officers found a plane with a broken cockpit and a torn off the engine, and a human body nearby.

The State Emergency Service added that the circumstances of the crash are being established.

As we reported earlier, Ukroboronprom state concern has conducted an official investigation into the maintenance of the An-26 plane that crashed in Chuhuiv on September 25. According to its results, there were no irregularities and violations during the repair of the plane.

On September 25, at about 20:50 near the military airport of Chuhuiv, Kharkiv region, a military aircraft AN-26 fell and caught fire.
