Petrivske will become the next area in Donbas, where the disengagement of forces will take place as Darka Olifer, the Spokesperson of Ukraine’s Representative at Minsk Talks, reported on Facebook.
“Today, the Trilateral Contact Group received the information about the beginning of the disengagement of forces and equipment in Zolote. In accordance with the framework decision of the Trilateral Contact Group dated 2016; the next step will be the division of forces and equipment in Petrivske, if the ceasefire regime is observed for seven dies,” the message said.
The security situation outside these areas continues to be tenous.
Earlier the HQ of the Joint Forces Operation confirmed the disengagement of forces in Zolote, Luhansk region.
Earlier Foreign Minister of Ukraine Vadym Prystaiko stated that the process of the disengagement of forces and equipment in Zolote village in the Luhansk region has begun, the next disengagement would be in Petrivske.
As we reported earlier, on October 1, the sides agreed on the beginning of the disengagement of the forces in Zolote (Luhansk region) and Petrovske (Donetsk region) during the Trilateral Contact Group session.
