Police warn about a prepared plan of falsification of the presidential elections using votes of the resettles, as the Deputy Head of the National Police Oleg Kozlovsky said at the session of the Internal Ministry, Ukrainian News reported.

As Kozlovsky said, criminals on the occupied territories of Donetsk and Luhansk regions and in annexed Crimea are preparing this.

“According to the information we have, the perpetrators have started such preparations,” Kozlovsky stressed.

Besides, the police expect attempts to falsify the electoral documentation of the Ukrainians who live abroad. There are four millions of such.

The Head of the National Police Sergiy Knyazev ordered to intensify prevention efforts and provide the presidential candidates with security under their requests.

As it was reported, 266 appeals on violations were filed and eight criminal proceedings opened since the election campaign began.

Presidential elections in Ukraine are scheduled for March 31, 2019. The election campaign began on December 31, 2018.
