The peak of the coronavirus epidemic is expected in Ukraine between April 15 and April 25, as Deputy Interior Minister reported on Facebook.

“That is why quarantine in Ukraine might be extended until May 15. As for today’s morning, 669 cases of infection with coronavirus are spotted in Ukraine. 17 our fellow citizens died,” Herashchenko stated.

He added that in fact, there are much more infected people in Ukraine.

“There are people who are infected with coronavirus, which symptoms are very similar to the flue but they do not report the medics about it and stay at home, not jeopardizing other people. Other infected have Covid-19 without difficulties as usual cold. But such diseased may infect other people,” Herashchenko said.

He also offered to compare the dynamics of the detection of infected people in Ukraine and Spain: on February 28, only 33 infected were identified in Spain. In 21 days, there were 25,496 infected. In Ukraine, on March 21, 47 diseased were spotted and in 11 days, there were 669 cases.

“We expect the peak of the epidemic approximately on April 15-25,” Herashchenko added.

The epidemic is detected only when the infected person without confirmed disease has infected less than one person.
