The ministry is relying on demand for such itinerary among passengers

Ukrainian Ministry of Infrastructure plans to launch passenger train connecting five capitals on the route "Kyiv - Minsk - Vilnius - Riga - Tallinn" before the end of 2017. This was reported by Volodymyr Omelyan, Ukraine’s Minister of Infrastructure, during the meeting with Rokas Masiulis, Minister of Transport and Communications of Lithuania, according to the ministry’s website.

"We hope that we will be able to launch "five capitals" train before the end of the year, and this route will be in great demand among passengers," Omelyan said.

Beyond that, the minister stressed the importance of development of multimodal transit and positive results of "Viking" train.
