Marina Parinova, the lawyer of Vyacheslav Khimikus who was shot by Pashinsky, reported that deputy changed his story during interrogation.
"Pashynsky told the version, according to which he fell, then stood up and fired from a standing position. The bus driver confirmed that he saw the person after "stand up - lie down" screaming. We will most likely ask to fix Mr. Oliynyk evidence in court, because we worry about his security," Parinova said.
However, Pashynsky’s lawyer said that it is not a change of testimony, but clarification. Pashynsky himself did not speak to the press, the lawyer called it fatigue and workload.
Pashynsky’s wife refused to answer questions of Khimikus’ lawyers, referring to Article 63 of the Constitution.
Additionally, prosecutor's office of Kyiv region refused to recognize Vyacheslav Khimikus as a victim.
After cross-examination, which lasted 8 hours, Pashynsky’s lawyer Vladimir Rakov told what the further steps of defense will be.
He said this on air of "112 Ukraine" TV channel.
"On our side, there will be a lot requests regarding the conduct of many examinations," Rakov informed.
The lawyer reported that the cross-examination "totally confirmed our version of events". "And reports of alleged guilt of Pashynsky, I repeat, it is a complete fake," he stressed.
