Parliament’s Speaker: Law on amendment of electoral system filed by president with gross violations

According to Paruby, all violations are corrected by the representatives of the president and parliament’s Apparatus

The draft law concerning the amendments to the electoral system at the elections to the parliament was filed by the president with gross violations a Speaker of the Ukrainian Parliament Andry Paruby reported.

“…the second (draft law, - 112.international) was filed at 11:45 a.m. but, unfortunately, it was filed with gross violations of the regulation; it was supposed to amend the electoral system, public procurements in one law. But by all forces, Apparatus (of the Verkhovna Rada, - 112.international) we help the representative of the president to frame the submission in accordance with the law as soon as it is framed properly, it will be registered as the law,” the speaker explained.

The first draft law of President Zelensky concerns the amendments to the system of the state procurements during the electoral process.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky officially dissolved the Verkhovna Rada and appointed the snap elections for July 21. The Cabinet of Ministers should provide the financing of the elections.

Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Andry Paruby issued the order, according to which the extraordinary session of the parliament is appointed for May 22 at 12:00 p.m.

Head of the Administration of the President Andry Bohdan stated that the decision on the dissolution of the parliament corresponds the Constitution.
