Andriy Parubiy, Ukraine’s Parliament Spokesperson, stated that the presidential elections in Ukraine are to be held, as the law intended, in March 2019. He said it at the briefing, as 112 Ukraine reports.
Therefore, the Head of the Parliament commented on the statement of one of the people’s deputies on a possible postponement of the presidential elections.
“I don’t know anything about that. I think that the elections should be held according to the Constitution, on last Sunday of March of the fifth year in office,” the Spokesperson said.
Earlier, people’s deputy Leonid Yemets, stated on Facebook that the presidential elections might be postponed.
“As far as I know a submission to the Constitutional Court is being prepared to postpone the date of the presidential elections in Ukraine,” he wrote.
Presidential elections in Ukraine will take place in spring in 2019, and in autumn this year Ukrainians will vote for a new Parliament’s composition.
