The Verkhovna Rada approved the draft resolution on the early termination of powers of the entire composition of the Central Election Commission. The resolution will come into force on the day of its adoption.

It is noted that President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky submitted to the Verkhovna Rada a filing for dismissal of members of the Central Election Commission. In his submission, the Zelensky stated that CEC's repeated showed of “insufficient impartiality or even political bias in resolving certain issues within its authority.
The President points to more than 20 decisions of the Central Election Commission on the refusal to register 28 parliamentary candidates, which were canceled by the courts.
As it was reported, the Ukrainian Parliament Committee on the organization of state power recommended to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine to urgently dissolve the Central Election Commission on September 11.
Earlier the Verkhovna Rada confirmed the submission of Zelensky on early termination of CEC authorities. The document was passed to the parliament on September 9 and on September 10 it was passed to the Committee on organization of state power, local self-government.
The Committee of the Voters of Ukraine believes that despite the expressed comments concerning the CEC work, there are no objective grounds to dismiss the CEC members.
