Today, on November 21, “AvtoEuroSyla” movement announced that it ceases the protest of the owners of cars with foreign registration for two days, but the struggle continues, as Oleh Yaroshevych, one the movement leaders, said near Verkhovna Rada building, Pravda reports.
According to him, the current format is not relevant.
“Today, we stop the official protest of the public disobedience against the adoption of the law №8487 near Verkhovna Rada building and throughout Ukraine. We will be reformatting, making the new decision and developing a new actions plan,” Yaroshevych said.
“I would like to appeal to all the members of “AvtoEuroSyla,” who took part in the European action, to thank everyone. There is no point to stand here. No point in standing in the regions, on the roads and borders,” he added.
Yaroshevych notes that the participants of the rally do not want to conflict with the police and said that as of November 21 “none of the roads was blocked, traffic was restricted.” According to him, the protesters follow the legal framework.
Another leader of the protest Oleksandr Chernyavsky noted that after “the Verkhovna Rada showed what it actually is,” the drivers would be waiting for the decision of President Poroshenko. They will be demanding the head of the state to veto this law and return it to the Parliament.
“We will inform you about the time of the next action,” he assured the protesters.
Protests were held in Ukraine on November 20 – the owners of cars with foreign license plates promised that their action would be termless and would continue till the Parliament cancels the results of the voting for the draft laws №8487 and №8488, which regulate the registration procedure of cars from the EU in Ukraine.
Police investigate five criminal proceedings on road blockage.
