Over 5,000 Ukrainian soldiers took part in international drills since 2015

5052 soldiers Armed Forces of Ukraine participated in the international military exercises since 2015, reported.

Another mechanized battalion of the Armed Forces is undergoing military training at the moment.

Military training of Armed Forces units has two purposes – general training and special operations forces training. Besides, 104 instructors have been prepared since 2015.

The group provides support for creation of a training centre for International Peacekeeping and Security Centre units (in Yavoriv practice ground, Lviv region). This centre is being created based on the standards and methods of the U.S. Armed Forces training. They also take into account the experience received from conducting operations in conflict zone in Donbas.

In addition, the American side is conducting a number of activities aimed at the targeted training of some Ukraine’s Armed Forces units and soldiers in both Ukrainian training centers and ranges and in American ones, located in Federal Republic of Germany and USA.

As we reported earlier, the law, which allows foreign soldiers to participate in military drills in Ukraine during 2018 was enacted on January 30.

Under this law, foreign militants have a permission to enter Ukraine to participate in Ukrainian-American drills Rapid Trident-2018 and Sea Breeze-2018, in multinational drills Light Avalanche-2018 and Clear Sky – 2018, and in Ukrainian-Romanian drills Riverian – 2018.

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted this law in January, 2018 with 235 people’s deputies’ votes. Petro Poroshenko signed the document on January 29, 2018.
