336,600 Belarusian citizens left for Ukraine in the period from August 1, 2020 to September 1, 2021. This was stated by the press service of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, as Gordon agency reports.
"From August 1, 2020 to September 1, 2021, 336,600 citizens of Belarus came to Ukraine," the statement reads.
According to the Border Guard, during this period, 40 Belarusian citizens applied in Ukraine for refugee status or as a person in need of additional protection.
Earlier, Poland has started the construction of a wall on the border with Belarus. In this way, the Polish authorities want to reduce the number of illegal migrants who enter Poland via Belarus.
It was also reported that a state of emergency was imposed in Poland on the border with Belarus due to the flow of illegal migrants.
