Health Minister of Ukraine Maksym Stepanov stated that as of November 19, 23,600 beds for patients with coronavirus are connected to oxygen.

“Currently, we have 23,571 beds with connected oxygen,” the minister said.

Besides, Stepanov commented on the situation with the provision of oxygen in Zhytomyr Central City Hospital #1, where a 39-year-old lecturer of Lviv Polytechnic National University recently died. She complained about poor access to oxygen in the hospital.

According to Stepanov, a woman was put on the lung ventilator and got oxygen in the necessary volume. The reason for her death is the complications from the coronavirus infection.

The minister reported that 106 beds are connected to oxygen in Zhytomyr Central City Hospital #1. Currently, 67 patients need oxygen support.

As we reported, 13,357 patients were diagnosed with coronavirus infection in Ukraine, which is a new anti-record for daily incidence. Yesterday, on November 18, 1,531 people were hospitalized, 257 died, and 7,400 people recovered. In addition, 65,402 tests were performed, including PCR - 40,585, ELISA - 24,817.
